BBS2 CA3 NEW ENTERPRISE DEVELOPMENT PROPOSAL

New Enterprise Development (NED) Project:

In semester 2 students will undertake a group project in NED. The project represents 100% of the overall mark for this module. The BS class will be split into 2 groups of 100. In order to facilitate this process and to ensure success in completing the project we are asking students to submit their proposal by the end of Semester 1. Proposals should be posted in the project boxes no later than Friday December the 4. Note that if you wish to work students from CA3 the submission date is a week earlier November 27. This is to facilitate a pre Christmas meeting of interested parties. This is an excellent opportunity to meet students from other departments. In practice entrepreneurial teams which combine both technical and business skills have a much higher success rate. To be eligible for the Student Enterprise Awards, you product must be in manufacturing or an internationally traded services.

Note that CA students will complete semester 2 in week 8 due to Intra commitments. The project will have to be completed by then. On the plus side CA students only have 2 subjects in Semester 2; NED and a software development project, many students are working on projects with commercial applications.
